Language B (Spanish) HL1 is the first year of a two year program that is designed for students with extensive previous experience in the target language, who are able to comprehend and communicate in that language in a wide variety of contexts and for a variety of purposes. Students will explore language acquisition, conceptual understanding, and are expected to use their higher-level thinking skills while refining their communication skills. Students must have the ability to read, discuss and respond to literature in the target language as this is a required component of Language B HL. This class is a prerequisite for Spanish HL2 that will have the IB assessment component of Language B HL.
