This college prep, one-term course prepares students for multiple forms composition. Students will explore five modes of writing: the memoir; informational; argumentative; the review; and the podcast script. They will analyze literary and expository texts and multimedia for comprehension and author’s moves in model and mentor texts.They also conduct and participate in in-depth discussions of selected texts, both literary and expository. Students will synthesize their analysis of the readings and implement it into their own writing.
