Brief Description

Choreography is an honors class for students with background training in dance. In this class students will learn advanced choreography techniques. Students will be expected to advance their improvisational work via choreography projects, as well as address all the elements of the rehearsal process. Students will also learn to identify and perform historical and cultural dance, and will apply their dance techniques and understandings of the content standards that they have mastered by dancing in a performance setting. Students may earn a Certificate of Proficiency upon completion.
